Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori's 'Kites' cracks top 10 in US box office
Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Mexican star Barbara Mori starrer 'Kites', has become the first Bollywood film to debut in the North American top ten on opening weekend.
According to studio estimates, the film has landed the tenth spot after raking in 952,682 dollars.
'Shrek Forever After' has, however, topped the weekend box office after raking in 71.3 million dollars.
'Iron Man 2' landed the second spot with 26.6 million dollars.
Robin Hood came third with 18.7 million dollars while 'Letters To Juliet' stood fourth with 9.1 million dollars.
'Just Wright' rounded off the top five with 4.2 million dollars, reports E! Online.

Renowned model, TV anchor and actress Shweta Menon, who has won several beauty pageants besides acting in over 40 films across multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi, was seriously injured while shooting for Penpattanam in Kozhikode, Kerala.
When injured on her right arm during a communal clash scene, she was rushed to a private hospital and an emergency surgery was carried out on her arm as the injury resulted in a nerve being cut off. Her doctors advised her to take rest for at least one week.
Penpattanam, directed by V.M. Vinu, has story by Ranjith and script by T.A. Razaq. The movie features Vishnupriya, Revathy and K.P.A.C. Lalitha in key roles.

Very strange, Hrithik Roshan was answering to a question which was never asked. And in any ways he involvement can never be more than Aamir and ‘Kites’ is coming after two years so he had ample time.
May be the anxiety on the eve of his most waited release may have taken toll of the actor.
